Voted into Chicago’s top 25 wellness coaches (April ‘21 special edition Chicago Entrepreneur magazine), Marisa Moon is a National Board-certified Health & Wellness Coach, a certified Primal Health Coach Master Coach, an Intermittent Fasting Instructor, Podcast Host on The Foundation of Wellness, and writer for the Primal Health Coach Institute blog.
Starting in 2014, after struggling with frustrating digestive symptoms related to IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), a Leaky Gut, a non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and possible SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth); Marisa entered the field of nutrition by creating a blog called My Longevity Kitchen where she shared recipes that maximize nutrition and minimize toxins. Her recipes honor a variety of Real Food diets like Paleo, Primal, Plant-Centered, Perfect Health Diet, The Whole30, and Weston A Price.
Today, Marisa helps busy adults put an end to the confusion about what’s healthy by encouraging ancestral principles that help her clients stop worrying about diet rules and find food freedom.
The most impactful project thus far is her new online program called Intermittent Fasting Freedom where members can cruise through a variety of learning materials that help them to achieve a lifetime free of yo-yo dieting, and reach their goals of weight loss/maintenance, and abundant energy.
Plenty of helpful guidance can be found on her podcast called The Foundation of Wellness. Also, visit the Aura Health & Meditation App where she guides listeners in free 3 minute sessions that address sleep, stress, and overall wellness. You can find Marisa coaching groups in the My6Method fat-loss program, and in the LIFE Fasting community doing individual or group sessions, live webinars, and more.
Some of her favorite work happens with 1-on-1 health coaching where she helps individuals meet their healthy behavior change goals in weekly, private sessions. More can be learned about her services here.
Marisa fuses together health coaching and life coaching to provide unique insights with a personable approach—all of which are inspired by the principles of ancestral health. After 5 years of intermittent fasting in her own life to combat ADHD symptoms and sluggish energy, and then educating others in webinars and workshops, Marisa is becoming known for her flexible I.F. approach that emphasizes nutrient-dense foods and intuitive, enjoyable fasting.
